Description

A 2006 Linkwood single malt from independent bottler La Maison du Whisky, matured sherry-seasoned oak for 13 years before being bottled as part of its Artist Collective series. Floral aromas of lavender and violet are joined by liquorice, candied orange, dried mango and salted caramel on the nose, complemented by notes of hay, guava, mango and rose throughout the palate.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
The first word that comes to mind about this drop: finesse. Lavender flavors mix with exotic mango sweetness. More fruity notes emerge like orange, peach, and sweet apricot. There are also beautiful spicy notes that are reminiscent of cardamom and liquorice.

TASTE:
Full-bodied and fruity. Orange with rose petals create this impression. Dry hay, cigar tobacco and bitter cocoa are gradually setting the tone. But then they are softened by sweet toffee.

FINISH:
Long and sweet with fig jam, exotic fruits and clove spices.
