Description

This single malt was distilled at Ben Nevis and went straight into a single refill sherry butt, where it stayed for the following 18 years. When the year came around, Douglas Laing bottled the sherried Highlander for the Old Particular range.

Tasting Notes

NOSE:
Dark chocolate covered raisins, fresh summer berries with a crack of black pepper, oak spice and orange oil.

TASTE:
Toffee apple, maple syrup, more of that dark chocolate with blueberry muffin and sharp, tangy berries.

FINISH:
Wood smoke, barley sugar and ginger loaf with lingering oak char.
