Description

Pulteney is the most northerly mainland distillery in Scotland and known for their love of the sea - some of which rolls over into their whisky. The 21 year old is a mix of fino sherry and refill bourbon cask matured whisky and sits at the top of their regular range.
Old Pulteney 21 Year Old has been voted 2012 World Whisky of the Year by the prestigious "Jim Murray's Whisky Bible." Scoring a record-equalling 97.5 points out of 100, it is only the third time that a single malt has ever won the prestigious award.

Tasting Notes

NOSE: Full bodied with traces of fruits (apples and pears); slightly fragrant with spicy overtones.
TASTE: Creamy, toffee, vanilla, baked red apple with a hint of smokiness.
FINISH: Dry Finish, with a whiff of menthol and a bit of gooseberry just before it fades
